孔庙古柏

一株千年古柏

高过任何一块御碑

它不坐骑神兽

而把根须深深扎入

这片土地

树叶散遍神州

躯干历经风霜

臂弯抚慰嫩绿

树枝高耸入云

旭阳高照

改变不了他的形象

电闪雷鸣

撼动不了它的位置

没有一座庙宇

装得下它的顶天立地

Ancient Cypress in Confucian Temple

A thousand-year-old cypress

higher than any royal stela 

does not ride on a stone turtle

but is deeply rooted in this land

Scattered are the leaves all over China

The bole stands the test of wind and cold

The arm takes care of the tender green

The branches stand high above cloud

Sunshine does not affect its image

Thunder and lightning can never change its position  

No any temple is big enough 

to house it standing upright to the sky
