白菜问你的心情
你问白菜的寂寥
你们的目光交织
白菜的周围是阳光和风
你的周围是时间和记忆
你的影子投在白菜上
白菜的影子印在你心里
你未看白菜时
白菜独自站在那
你来看白菜时
白菜从四面八方进入你
你还是你
白菜成了你的一个部分
白菜还是白菜
你成了白菜的一点牵挂
白菜会想有一个人
看见自己的孤独与无助
你会想有一棵白菜
它曾经青春给你看
它会消亡
它会到哪里
一如你的宿命
A Chinese Cabbage

If you watch it it’s a cabbage
If you don’t it still is
If you think of it it may be the rough hands of peasants
It is coy for your coming
You caress it for its coyness
It asks you about your feeling
You ask it about its loneliness
Your eye contact is interlaced
There’s sunlight and breeze around it
Around you are time and memories
Your shadow is cast on it
Its shadow is imprinted in your heart
Before you watch it
It stands there alone
When you come to watch it
It joins you from all sides
You are the same one
But it becomes part of you
It’s the very cabbage
You’ve become its concern
It would rather a person
Had seen its loneliness and helplessness
You would rather a cabbage
Had been young for you
It will die some day
Wherever it goes
It’s like your predestination
