Don't Lose it
Leanne Li/ Hua Li
Don't lose the fierce fire of your youth—
At times, it is the strength that strides across a thousand mountains and rivers.
Don't lose your pride upon the podium—
Even the faintest dimming would stir the wind beyond my window.
I think… I would quietly wait outside your world,
Just listen as your sunlight floods every corner of T100.
Your words fill the screen like waves,
Leaping like lighthouses across the sea.
The Garden of youth, where students breathe in fresh air—
in that moment, brilliance will bloom,
and colour all of my spring.
Don't lose your smile—
that, to me, is a rose.
Every break between classes, every bell that chimes,
or perhaps, in the hush of noon—
I wish you’d knock gently at my door,
and let your thoughts pour down like a waterfall,
rushing over my desk with boundless flow.
If your little boat ever drifts,
I promise to light the brightest lamp,
And shine it toward where you’re meant to go.
Don’t lose your pursuit—
It is the crown I’ve been saving for you.
I allow you tears in your eyes,
I allow you to turn your back to me.
I even allow you to fly on wings within my sight.
But I won’t allow your soul to rest—
Not in some aimless, forgotten ravine.
I want your youth to burn,
To glitter like stars in the night.
Otherwise, I’ll close my ears,
Let you pause before countless red buses,
and I won’t stay—
Because I want your thoughts to be filled
with nothing but Van Gogh’s sunflowers,
growing, glowing,
Ever toward the light.
别失去
Leanne Li/Hua Li
