They are flowing like a torrent, echoing a majestic symphony.
The towering mountains are your backbone,
Holding up the pride and strength of the nation.
The red walls of the Forbidden Palace, carry the weight of history,
The array of terracotta warriors and horses tells the vicissitudes of time.
The misty rain in the south of the Yangtze River is poetic and picturesque,
The wind and snow in the north of the Great Wall are heroic and unrestrained.
Motherland, you have gone through many hardships,
But you still shine with beautiful light.
In the flames of the war of resistance, you were indomitable
And forged the glory of victory with your blood.
Today, you are guided by science and technology,
Shenzhou Areoboat is flying into space, exploring the vastness of the universe.

任诚刚，英语教授。1989年毕业于美国康科迪亚大学。系威斯康星大学研究生、旅居美国十四年。1998年回国在云南农业大学外语学院担任教学与测试室主任、云南省翻译工作者协会理事、研究生高级文学翻译等课程教学。发表论文50余篇。出版《韵译天安门诗抄100首》《英韵周恩来朱德及陈毅诗选五十首》等译著。
Ren Chenggang，professor of English, graduated from Concordia University US in 1989. He was a graduate student in University of Wisconsin and lived in the United States for 14 years. In 1998, he returned to China and worked at the College of Foreign Languages, Yunnan Agricultural University, serving as the director of the Teaching and Testing Office and is a council member of the Yunnan Translators Association. Teaching Advanced Lilterary Translation and other courses. He has published more than 50 papers. Translation books as rhymed versions of 100 Poems of Tiananmen and 50 selected poems by Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and Chen Yi etc.
