Here is the English translation of the poem "暂坐" by Xue Fei:
The sunrise, in a blink, turns into the sunset,
On the treetop, a cool moon shines dimly.
The wind passes by soundlessly, the geese leave no trace,
Nightfall arrives abruptly, sinking into confusion and melancholy.
A tree, a flower, a pool of water,
All have had their springtime of ten miles' splendor.
A wisp of smoke, a cloud, a gust of wind,
Secretly store away the towers and halls, the purples and reds.
Sipping a pot of moonlight, a solitary shadow accompanied by floral fragrance,
The thin smoke swirls, raising a cup of loneliness and sorrow.
A flower that blooms will eventually fade,
A cloud that drifts will eventually disperse.
And I am but a speck of dust, a fleeting illusion,
Taking a moment's rest, gazing back at the past in the ethereal void.
