——在玉山中学六二级同学
聚会上的发言

亲爱的同学们：
今天，七夕之良辰吉日，贺府新居，雄伟雅致。装饰新颖，古老神奇。设施齐全，赛过城市。院子宽敞，前后贯通。亲友庆贺，鞭炮齐鸣。金源酒店，欢声笑语。主持多彩，讲话动听。同学交流，亲切自然。留影作念，友谊永恒。
你们是玉山中学六二级，我是六一级，同校不同级，也算个老同学吧。应邀参加聚会特别兴奋和激动。高高兴兴凑个热闹，说几句心里话吧。
六十二年前，我们一起在母校学习，六十二年后，我们在这里相聚。看到这一张张熟悉的面孔，听到这一声声亲热的问候，遥想当年同窗共读、朝夕相处的青春岁月，怎能不让我浮想联翩。
同学聚会，是对过去校园生活的一种缅怀和追思，无可厚非些陈年往事，但不同的是，那时我们是人生的主角，而现在，我们都成了生活的观众。
同学们，我们都是来自农村的子女，无论走到天涯海角，最难忘的是故乡，是母校。无论从政、经商，无论为官、为民，无论做工、务农，最难忘的还是中学生活中至纯至真的懵懂情愫。因为那时我们之间没有交易，没有贫富贵贱，更没有权贵和地位的高低之分，有的只是友谊，同学们之间纯清纯清的友谊。
同学们，友谊是一朵花，它永远开放在你我的心中；友谊是一滴水，它能滋润你我干涸的心田；友谊是一阵春风，它能化解你我心灵中的块垒；友谊同时也是一座桥，它又能沟通我们大家心与心之间的情感，这就是邵尊成、刘弈、周喜民、贺掌民等人组织这次大型同学聚会的定位。
六十多年的岁月，苍老了我们的容颜，冲淡了我们人生的坎坷和磨难，但却浓酿了我们平淡的同学情。今天我们相聚在这里， 微笑与友谊，喜悦与激动，初心与追梦，拥抱着我们在座的每一个同学。
六十多年是一种生活，六十多年更是一种缘分。听听久违的声音，看看久违的你我他，重新拾起昔日在教室，在走廊，在校园，在操场打打闹闹，吵吵嚷嚷，嘻嘻哈哈的欢笑，那不正是我们珍藏了多年永不褪色的记忆吗。
亲爱的同学们，桃花潭水深千尺，不及同学友情深。今天, 那已过古稀之年的我们在这里相聚，让我们重温过去的往事，重叙昔日的友情，讲述平凡的经历，倾诉生活的快乐，互道别后的思念，尽享重逢的喜悦。让我们再次荡起生活的双桨，手牵手，心连心，一起度过一个开心的晚年，幸福的晚年。

Fellowship in School Days of the Past, Friendship Unchanged in Today's Gathering
--- Speech at the Gathering of Classmates of Grade 62 of Yushan Middle School

Dear classmates:
Today, on the auspicious day of Qixi Festival, the new residence of Mr. He is majestic and elegant. The decoration is novel, ancient and magical. The facilities are complete, surpassing those in the city. The yard is spacious and runs through front and back. Relatives and friends are celebrating with firecrackers crackling. In Jinyuan Hotel, there are laughter and joy. The host is colorful and the speech is pleasant. Classmates communicate with each other, friendly and natural. Taking photos as souvenirs, friendship is eternal.
You are from Grade 62 of Yushan Middle School, and I am from Grade 61. We were in the same school but different grades. So, I can be regarded as an old classmate. I am particularly excited and thrilled to be invited to this gathering. Happily joining the fun, let me say a few words from the bottom of my heart.
Sixty-two years ago, we studied together in our alma mater. Sixty-two years later, we gather here. Seeing these familiar faces and hearing these affectionate greetings, thinking back to the youthful days when we studied and lived together day and night, how can I not be filled with thoughts.
Classmate gatherings are a kind of remembrance and retrospection of the past campus life. It's understandable to recall those old events. But the difference is that at that time, we were the protagonists of life, but now, we have all become the audience of life.
Dear classmates, we are all children from rural areas. No matter where we go, the most unforgettable thing is our hometown and our alma mater. Whether engaging in politics or business, whether being an official or a commoner, whether working in industry or agriculture, the most unforgettable thing is still the pure and innocent feelings during our middle school life. Because at that time, there was no transaction between us, no distinction of poverty or wealth, nor any difference in power, status or position. What we had was only friendship, the pure and innocent friendship among classmates.
Dear classmates, friendship is a flower that always blooms in your heart and mine; friendship is a drop of water that can moisten our parched hearts; friendship is a gust of spring breeze that can dissolve the barriers in our souls; friendship is also a bridge that can communicate the emotions between our hearts. This is the purpose of this large-scale class reunion organized by Shao Zuncheng, Liu Yi, Zhou Ximin, He Zhangmin and others.
More than sixty years have aged our faces and diluted the ups and downs and hardships of our lives, but have intensified our plain classmate relationship. Today we gather here, with smiles and friendship, joy and excitement, original intentions and dreams, embracing each of us present.
More than sixty years is a kind of life, and more than sixty years is also a kind of fate. Listen to the long-unheard voices, look at the long-unseen you, me and him, and pick up the laughter from the past when we were playing, quarreling, and joking in the classroom, corridor, campus and playground. Isn't that the memory that we have cherished for many years and never faded?
Dear classmates, "The Peach Blossom Pond is a thousand feet deep, but it cannot compare with the depth of our classmates' friendship." Today, we, who have passed the age of seventy, gather here. Let's relive the past events, resume the friendship of the old days, tell about the ordinary experiences, pour out the joys of life, express our thoughts after parting, and fully enjoy the joy of reunion. Let's row the oars of life again, hand in hand, heart to heart, and spend a happy and blissful old age together.
