为了纪念新加坡国父李光耀先生百岁冥诞，由地铁局、丹戎巴葛民众俱乐部与丹戎巴葛及中峇鲁区基层领袖于2023年9月16日（星期六）为手绘历史壁画举行推介，以提升和丰富乘客的搭乘体验，活动主宾为总理公署部长兼财政部及国家发展部第二部长英兰妮，【世界文化艺术联合总会】创会全球总顾问陈光億宗师为特别嘉宾。

In Commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Singapore's founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s birth, SMRT Trains, Tanjong PagarCommunity Club (TPCC) and Tanjong Pagar-Tiong Bahru Grassroots Organisations (GROs) held the unveiling of the hand-painted historical mural on September 16, 2023 (Saturday). The event was graced by Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Finance and National Development, and featured 【FOWCAAS】 Founder & Global Chief Councillor, Grand Master Jason Tan, as a special guest.

此次新加坡最长手绘历史壁画有孩子在农村玩乐、木屋的乡村场景、沦为英军殖民地、经历了二战时期再到开国总理李光耀宣布新加坡独立；民众只要到丹戎巴葛地铁站售票厅，就能看到栩栩如生的长壁画，回顾新加坡丰富的历史。

This hand-painted historical mural, known as "Singapore on Canvas," is the longest in Singapore and depicts scenes such as children playing in rural areas, village with wooden houses, Singapore under the British colonial rule, period of World War II, and the announcement of Singapore's independence by founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew. The public can see this lifelike mural by visiting the ticketing hall of the Tanjong Pagar MRT station, reflecting upon Singapore's rich history.

地铁乘客如今可以在丹戎巴葛地铁站，欣赏新加坡最长的手绘历史壁画，这幅由【世文联】名誉理亊新加坡69岁艺术家黄品胜先生创作的艺术作品名为“画布上的新加坡”，长67米，高1.7米，几乎围着地铁站售票厅一圈，手绘历史壁画描绘了新加坡历史上的重要事件、发生日期、地点与涉及的人物，艺术作品描绘了新加坡历史上的重要事件、发生日期、地点与涉及的人物，包括从落后的农村时代、英国统治下的殖民地时代、第二次世界大战，走向独立的历程，以及迅速发展成为第一世界国家，直至今日。

Commuters can now appreciate Singapore's longest hand-painted historical mural at the Tanjong Pagar MRT station. Created by Mr. Ng Peng Sing, a 69-year-old Singaporean artist and Global Honorary Council of the 【FOWCAAS】, this artwork titled "Singapore on Canvas" measures 67 meters in length and 1.7 meters in height, encircling the ticketing hall of the MRT station. The mural depicts significant events, dates, locations, and people from Singapore's history, including the transition from an underdeveloped rural era to a British colony, the Second World War, the journey towards independence, and the rapid development into a first-world nation.

开幕主宾总理公署部长兼财政部及国家发展部第二部长英兰妮女士、【世文联】创会全球总顾问陈光億宗师及其他贵宾们共同观赏此手绘历史壁画正式启动，在黄品胜先生引领大家开始导缆述说的过程中，令许多长者们即刻回忆起当年建国之情境，个个心存慰籍庆幸有新加坡国父李光耀先生带领着国家，人民才会有国泰民安的日子，另外值得一提的是，此手绘历史壁画人物中画有一位【世文联】名誉顾问大慈善家黄马家兰大德，也是特别嘉宾之一，出席此次见证嘉宾有地铁局主席余文民先生、丹戎巴葛居民委员主席卢伟强先生、新加坡原官委议员庄绍平伉俪、【世文联】名誉顾问丁宏海先生、林琳女士等众多各界名人及学者。

The opening ceremony was attended by Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Finance and National Development, as the guest of honor, along with Grand Master Jason Tan, the founding global chief Councillor of the 【FOWCAAS】, and other distinguished guests. Led by Mr. Ng Peng Sing, the guided narration of the mural immediately evoked memories of the nation's founding among many elderly attendees, who felt grateful for the leadership of Singapore's founding father, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, which brought prosperity and security to the people. It is worth mentioning that one of the figures depicted in the mural is the Global Honorary Advisor of the 【FOWCAAS】 and philanthropist, Ms Wong-Mah JiaLan, who is also one of the special guests. The event was attended by numerous notable figures and scholars from various fields, including Mr. Seah Moon Ming, Chairman of the SMRT Corporation, Mr. James Loo Wai Kheong, Chairman of the Tanjong Pagar-Tiong Bahru Residents' Committee, Mr. Zhuang Shaoping, a former official member of Parliament and his spouse, Mr. Ding Honghai, Honorary Advisor of the 【FOWCAAS】, and Ms. Lynnette Lilin, among others.
