樊功生

北极圈内

搭了个木屋

到了夏天

请来做客吧

雪也该化了 

甚至冒出短短的草

世界的尽头

离文明很远

离天堂很近

夏天的太阳在这儿

永远不落... 

爱斯基摩人也醒来了

走出墩实的土屋

会和我们一起

大碗饮酒

无休止地起舞

我们在海岸线上

踏着刺骨的北冰洋水

疯狂地奔跑  喊

冰块会离开岸边  

似乎一年比一年远

也不用怕北极熊

一年比一年少了

隔壁镇上

打井的人又要到了... 

朋友们  早点来吧

水 还是清亮的  

空气 还是纯净的  

舞没跳够  就尽量跳吧

夏天很快就会过去

这里会变得很黑  很冷

而且是  

很黑  很冷  很长时间... 

Arctic

I built a wooden hut, 

In Arctic Circle. 

Come and be my guests

This summer! 

Snow would melt then

And maybe weeds would appear. 

It's the end of the world, 

Very far from the civilization 

But very close to the heaven. 

Also, in the summer, 

The sun never goes down. 

Eskimos would wake up also

And step out of their sturdy huts. 

They'll drink with us

And dance nonstop. 

We could run and scream 

Along the icy arctic shore. 

Icebergs would move away, 

Further and further each year.

No worry about polar bears,

There are less of them too.

Those oil drillers, soon, 

Would arrive at neighboring town.

So come early, my friends, 

When water is still crystal clear,

And air is pure and sweet.

Haven't had enough dancing yet?

Go ahead till exhaustion.

The summer would be gone soon,

And it would get very dark and cold,

And very dark and very cold 

for a very long time...
