我是凡类，

始于浩瀚的宇宙，

又终于大地的尘埃。

我又是天使，

在空中选择自己的归宿。

我是爱的结晶：

母亲将我孕育，

父亲呵护我成长，

老师将我培育成参天大树。

我是茫茫人海里的一粒小沙，

虽不出众，

可却独一无二，无人可替。

清早，我同太阳一起玩耍，

傍晚，我与月亮一起谈心。

我微睡时，

月亮那神圣的光芒抚摸着我的脸颊，

我醒来时，

太阳那巨大的慧眼向我凝望。

我饮着山泉酿成的琼浆，

沁人心脾，

我听着小鸟的歌唱，

活力飞扬。

我从不气馁，

也不卑不亢，

我对光明充满了向往。

这就是我，

一个少年的时光！

I shall return to earth as dust.

I'm also an angel,

looking for my final destination.

I'm also the fruit of deep love:

My mother gives me a birth,

And I grow up with my father's loving care.

Disciplined by my teachers, 

I shall grow into a towering big tree.

I'm just a grain of sand,

Though simple and ordinary,

Yet I'm unique,

And no other persons could ever take the place of me.

I play with the sun in the morning air;

I chat with the moon

in the evening glow.

When I slightly get into sleep,

The moon caresses my face with the holy light.

When I wake up,

The sun gazes at me with the huge wisdom eye.

Drinking the nectar of the mountain spring,

I feel refreshing and relaxed;

Listening to the song of the birds,

I become energetic and strong.

I shall never be discouraged,

neither humble nor arrogant.

I'm longing for the light.

This is what I am,
