近日，世文联国际体育拳击荣誉亲善大使，亚洲重量级一人“龙王”张君龙又传来了一件振奋人心的喜讯，这位载誉无数的擂台传奇日前与加拿大总理贾斯汀·特鲁多亲切会面并进行了交谈，进一步加深了中加体育文化的世代友谊，从而张君龙也成为中国乃至全亚洲职业拳坛第一位受到西方最高元首接见并合影留念的运动员。

在过去二十年里，中国拳击、自由搏击、综合格斗项目发展迅猛，并涌现了一批名气和实力俱佳的好手，不过截止到今天，除了张君龙以外还没有人能得到西方发达国家最高元首接见的待遇，即便是“大满贯拳王”邹市明和前UFC女子草量级冠军张伟丽也从未达到，而横扫亚洲重量级拳坛并致力于在欧美开创一片新天地的张君龙凭借出色的战绩、可靠的人品、宽广的眼界以及强大的影响力在北美迅速走红，受到了加拿大总理的关注。

作为一个多民族交融的国家，多元文化的融合给加拿大注入了开放和包容的基因。体育国际交流合作是它对外的重要组成部分。在外交领域，体育往往扮演着外交破冰者、先遣队的角色，为促进不同人群和文明之间对话与理解、增进民心相通提供了有效途径。

2012年，为了给癌症患者募捐，当时身为议员的特鲁多参加了一场慈善拳击比赛，和政党死对头正面PK，那场慈善赛结束后甚至被拍成了电影——《天佑贾斯汀·特鲁多》，在第21届瑞士尼翁国际纪录片电影节上放映。

特鲁多十分重视华人在加拿大的发展情况，并在当天举行了一场特别的见面仪式，在仪式上张君龙一走上台，特鲁多就说出了“龙王”的单词Dragon King，这说明特鲁多此前就已经知道张君龙这位名宿——尤其在今年5月张君龙选址加拿大打响了阔别三年的复出之战，并10回合完胜“大号阿瓦雷兹”卡萨斯，这一战也让在加拿大打拼的广大华人树立了信心，同时也令特多鲁倍感欣慰。此外，张君龙也经常为加拿大养老院的华人老人们发放福利，体现了拳击人应有的高尚品格。

张君龙表示：“很荣幸能与加拿大总理特鲁多亲切交谈，感谢总理对我的关注和支持！中加体育世代友好，作为一名来自中国的拳击运动员，我能够为加深两国的友谊起到帮助深感自豪。拳击就像润滑剂，它本无国界，人们对拳击的热爱和通过拳击加深交往的热情不减。相信2022北京冬奥会的成功举办以及拳击运动在世界各国的持续推进，将引领不同国家的人们更加团结一心，感悟体育魅力，交流互鉴，互利双赢。”

张君龙又创历史！亚洲重量级之王与加拿大总理会面，致敬拳王阿里

历史总是惊人的相似，在张君龙之前，也有一位重量级拳王受到过大国领导人的接见，那个人即是享誉全球的一代重量级拳王穆罕默德·阿里。阿里曾于1979年12月访华，当时一位名叫艾佛里的国际管理集团官员突然接到了国家体委一位老友的‘神秘’电话，被告知“有一位重要人物想见阿里”，直到会见之前，阿里才知道那位“重要人物”就是中国领导人邓小平。

艾佛里一直致力于与中国体育界的合作，他后来回忆说：“当时，我还不理解邓小平先生接见阿里的真正寓意。我记得他谈笑风生，谈吐轻松而且诙谐，气氛非常愉快。事后多年，我才明白了中国领导人的高明用意。原来邓小平先生是通过拳王阿里向美国政府传达一个重要信息：中国希望同美国建立良好关系，中美关系对整个世界的和平和发展是至关重要的。”

那时，拳击在中国被贴上了“野蛮，血腥”的标签，已经被禁止开展几十年。阿里得知此事后便向邓小平表示希望中国重新开展拳击运动，邓小平的答复是：“只要是人民群众喜欢的体育项目中国都要开展。”1986年，中国拳击运动正式恢复。可以说，阿里对于中国拳击运动的发展起到了不可磨灭的作用，现在国内所有从事拳击工作的从业者都应该感谢阿里当时的开明提议，而阿里也无愧于在拳台内外的“双重伟大”。

如今，荣誉等身的张君龙也沿袭着前辈阿里的足迹，依托自身的行业优势和超凡的影响力，希望通过拳击夯实中加两国的友谊桥梁，他表示：“体育不仅是全人类共通的语言，也承载着国家强盛、民族振兴的梦想。43年前的‘阿里访华’不仅拓宽了中美的大门，而且对世界来说也是一件大事。阿里的精神始终感召着我向前奋进，没有阿里，我可能也没机会从事拳击这项伟大的事业了。我们除了在国际上比赛之外，走到世界上任何地方比赛，人家都把阿里访华这段经历当成典范。拳击只是一个载体，通过这项运动，传递正能量，追求美好生活，加深各国人民友谊，我觉得这是代代都应该传承下去的。”

Recently, another exciting piece of good news came from Asia heavyweight "Dragon King" Mr Zhang Junlong. A few days ago, the acclaimed arena legend had the opportunity to meet up with the Canadian Prime Minister Mr Justin Trudeau. This has further deepened the relationship between China and Canada.This event had made Mr Zhang Junlong, the first athlete in the field of professional boxing from China and the whole of Asia, to receive an invitation by the head of a Western state for a meet up and followed by a group photo taking session.

For the past two decades, Chinese boxing, Free style kickboxing, and mixed martial arts had been rapidly popularized, which resulted in an increase of numerous famous and powerful fighters. However, as of today, no one except Mr Zhang Junlong has been able to receive the highest honor of having the opportunities to meet up with the head of state from a developed western country. Even the "Grand Slam champion" Mr Zou Shiming and the former UFC women's strawweight champion Ms Zhang Weili, did not have the opportunity. Mr Zhang Junlong, has been victorious in the Asian heavyweight boxing community, and with that tenacity he is committed to extend his excellence competition record and influence across into Europe and the United States. His reliable character, broad vision and strong influence quickly became popular in North America and attracted the attention of the Canadian Prime Minister.

As a multi-ethnic country, Canada has an open society which display acceptance and tolerance of different cultures. International sporting event and exchanges are an important part of its external diplomatic development.  Usually in the field of diplomacy, sports are often the first ambassador to established international relationship, It is also one of the effective method to promote dialogue and understanding between different groups of people and civilizations, and to enhance bonding between people.

Back in 2012, Mr Trudeau, who was still a member of parliament at the time, participated in a charity boxing match to raise funds for cancer patients and fought head-to-head with the political party. The match was eventually it was made into a movie - "God Bless Justin Terre" and screened at the 21st Nyon International Documentary Film Festival in Switzerland.

Mr Trudeau deeply values the development of the Chinese community in Canada, and held a special meeting ceremony on the same day. At the ceremony, as soon as Mr Zhang Junlong took the stage, Prime Minister Mr Trudeau address the fighter as "Dragon King". This shows that Mr Trudeau already knew about the achievement of Mr Zhang Junlong, especially in May of this year where Mr Zhang Junlong had chosen Canada to be the first venue of his comeback match after a three-year absence, and defeated "Large Alvarez" Casas in a 10 rounds match.  The match gave huge confidence boost to the majority of Chinese working hard in Canada.  In addition, Mr Zhang Junlong often distributes benefits to Chinese elderly in Canadian nursing homes. His action reflects the noble character of boxers.

Mr Zhang Junlong said: "I am honored to have a cordial conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and I thank the Prime Minister for his attention and support! China and Canada have always established a friendly relationship. As a boxer from China, I am proud to play a role in deepening the friendship between the two countries. Boxing is like a lubricant; it has no borders. People's love for the sport and the enthusiasm of boxing brings people together. I believe in the successful hosting of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the continuous advancement of the sport of boxing for all countries. It will united people from different countries, appreciate the charm of the sports, exchange and learn from each other, and achieve mutual win-win benefit."

Mr Zhang Junlong makes history again! Asia heavyweight Champion meets Canadian PM and pay tribute to Boxing Champion, Mr Muhammad Ali

History always had strikingly similar events. Before Mr Zhang Junlong, there was also a heavyweight boxing champion who was received by major leaders of various countries. That person was the world-renowned heavyweight boxing champion Mr Muhammad Ali. Mr Muhammad Ali had visited China in back in December 1979. It happened when an official named Avery, from the International Management Group, suddenly received a 'mysterious' call from an old friend from the State Sports Commission and was told that "an important person wanted to see Muhammad Ali". Mr Muhammad Ali only knew who the mystery person was moments before the meeting. That "important person" was the Chinese leader Chairman Deng Xiaoping.

Avery was committed to cooperation with the Chinese sports committee. He later recalled: "At that time, I did not understand the real meaning of Mr. Deng Xiaoping's meeting with Ali. I remembered him talking and laughing, his conversation was relaxed and witty, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Years later, only did I understand the wise intentions of the Chinese leaders. It turned out that Mr. Deng Xiaoping was conveying an important message to the US government through boxing champion Mr Muhammad Ali. China hopes to establish good relations with the United States, and Sino-US relations are crucial to the peace and development of the entire world."

Back then, the sport of boxing was labelled as "barbaric and bloody" in China and it had been banned for decades.  When Mr Muhammad Ali learned about this, he expressed his hope to Chairman Deng Xiaoping that China could re-launch the sports of boxing. Chairman Deng Xiaoping replied: "As long as it is a sport that the people like it, it will be carried out in China." In 1986, Chinese boxing officially resumed.  It can be said that Mr Muhammad Ali has played an indelible role in the development of Chinese boxing. All practitioners engaged in the sport of boxing from China should thank Mr Muhammad Ali for his enlightened proposal at that time, and Mr Muhammad Ali is worthy of the "double greatness" inside and outside of the boxing ring.

Today, Mr Zhang Junlong, is following the footsteps of his predecessor Mr Muhammad Ali. Relying on his own industry advantages and extraordinary influence, he hopes to consolidate the bridge of friendship between China and Canada through the sport of boxing. He said: "Sports is not only a common language for all mankind, it also carries the dream of a strong country and national rejuvenation. The 'Ali's visit to China' 43 years ago not only broadened the door between China and the United States, it is also a major world event. Mr Muhammad Ali's spirit has always inspired me to forge ahead, without Mr Muhammad Ali , I may not have the opportunity to engage in the great cause of boxing. Besides international competitions, no matter which competition we took part around the world , people will take Mr Muhammad Ali's visit to China as the benchmark. The sports of boxing is just a carrier, the sport conveys positive energy, the pursues of a better life, and deepens the friendship between people of all countries. I think this should be passed down from generation to generation."
