Australia has two national symbols: 

The Opera House and Uluru. 

The former was built by men,

and the latter by God. 

Oh, Uluru! 

You stand solemnly at the center of the continent, 

like a giant seal from the Almighty, 

proclaiming His unquestioned authority. 

Your immensity is astonishing and colors are mythical, 

One has to wonder if you're in fact alive, 

and would arise at any moment 

With an thunderous roar. 

Aborigines would sob on their knees at your sight, 

and pilgrims would extend their arms towards you 

and hum hypnotically under a starry sky. 

This is such a divine place 

that magically dismantles one’s final inhibition 

and reduces the most civilised into utmost savages...

Let men be exhilarated about their thousand years of their civilisation, 

but Uluru, with no need for any affirmation, 

has been there since the Beginning...
