那一年，我问佛
可否给我一段时光
让我与你静静相守
佛问我：余生可够
On that year, I asked Buddha
if he could give me some
time ,so I could stay with
you in private.
He asked me "Could the rest of your life be enough ?"
我想了想
慎重地回答
余生，也许太久
After thinking twice,
Then I answered him
carefully.
"The rest of my life might
be too long."
佛错愕
我说：他很优秀
佛哭了，他说：
下一世，我许他和你终生相守。
Buddha was quite surprised.
Then I told him，
"That man is excellent
indeed!"
Hearing this, Buddha was
silent and said to me
lovingly.
"I promise you that in his
next life he will always love
you."
我拜了佛
在心里虔诚地祈祷
求佛保佑
来生，我可以与你终生拥有
I thanked Buddha and
prayed piously in my heart,
Praying for Buddha's
blessing,
Praying I could love you in
my next life.
那一天，我终于决定放你走了
你什么话都没有说
但是，你是天上的雄鹰
我怎么可以羁绊你太久
On that day, I finally decided to let you go.
Though you didn't say
anything,
Yet I knew your decision was final.
How could I hold you for too long?
我看着你的背影渐行渐远
直到消失在我视线的尽头
我蜷缩着身子蹲在地上
任泪水潸然地流
l watched your back slowly
fading away. Then, it completely disappeared in
my sight.
I crouched down and let my tears flow on.
我擦去泪水
抚摸着你的脚印
生怕滂沱的眼泪把它们冲走
I wiped away my tears,
and touched your footprints with my hands gingerly,
For fear that my rain-like
tears would wash them
away .
如今又到了这个思念的日子
好久不曾收到关于你的讯息
就让我问候一句：
好久不见，你在异乡 还好吗？
Now it’s time for me to
miss you again .
For it's been quite a long
time since I heard from you.
Could you tell me that
you are still having a good
time in the foreign land?
