Who are you seeing off now?
No tears,
No sadness,
No repentence.
Perhaps already done it the night before,
It's time now for a prolonged journey.
Could that be your father?
A perennial presence that
Watched over your every step.
Or your mother?
Who always used her weep to wipe out your weep.
Somehow we hear joy in the chants.
Maybe you wrote this for yourself!
O Gabriel,
You're so blessed,
You're so fortunate,
You're one of those few,
Who could hear his own requiem on this journey.
No pain, you said,
No fear of death.
Only a happy deliverance,
And an aspiration towards heavenly joy.
Kyrie, he's coming.
Alas, how gloriously they sing,
Those angels along the way are celebrating your life.
This path will take you to another place,
Far from the noises,
And closer to the Heaven...
