侵袭北美寒流至，
白雪纷纷。
风刺如针，
处处囱林银气喷②。
死僵铁马擎无火③，
何去驰奔？
零下低温，
三尺冰寒垒冻深。
注：① 此词填于1996年2月美国威斯康辛州密尔沃基市。二月初北美遭受到寒流侵袭，密尔沃基市气温降至-29°F(-33°C) 。风寒（wind chill）最低可达-50°F（-46°C）这使得密尔沃基市创下了同上一世纪相比的最新寒冷纪录。
② 这里指各家热气炉燃烧时，房顶烟囱冒出的白气。
③ 指汽车引擎打不着火。

① The lyrics is composed in February 1996, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. when a cold snap hit North America, dropping temperatures in Milwaukee to -29°F (-33°C); wind chill lows as -50°F（-46°C）helped Milwaukee set a new cold record compared to the last century.
② Here it refers to hot stove burning in every houses, the chimney on the each roof gushes out
white gas.
③ It denotes that car is frozen and engine won’t start.

① 此词填于1997年1月9日，据《密尔沃基新闻前哨报》报道，此次大雪为1997年新年的一大开场白。
② 威斯康辛州是美国北方最冷的一个州之一。每年冰天雪地近半年之久。
③ 据当日的该报报道：气温在18°F（-8°C），雪积最深可达8英寸厚。
