宝钗的海棠诗，文如其人，含蓄沉稳，功力深厚。虽不及黛玉的同题诗精妙，海棠诗社长李纨仍推此为魁。

宝钗

珍重芳姿晝掩門，自攜手甕灌苔盆。

胭脂洗出秋階影，冰雪招來露砌魂。

淡極始知花更豔，愁多焉得玉無痕。

欲償白帝憑清潔，不語婷婷日又昏。

Fine silhouette with closed door in daylight,

Pot in hand is ready for planting all right.

Blushy figure is reflected on autumn steps,

Snowwhite soul is accompanied by dewy edifice.

Blossom becomes supreme when least pretended,

Could jade ever leave out tear trace being so saddened.

I'll repay holy spirits with my purity utmost,

While embracing serenity through the dusk.
