绝望

樊功生

偌大一个城市

迎来一个新的黎明

诗人觉得很美好

对大多数人大概很平凡

当然  还有那些不幸的... 

某医院的一张床上

躺着一个病危的妈妈

她清楚

这是她在世上的最后一天... 

唯一的女儿

从国外赶了回来

在城市的另一处隔离

还有三天... 

都在四处求情

让女儿见上妈妈一面

-- 不行！

简短又明确

女儿在窗沿上哭泣

爸爸在电话上哭泣

妈妈早已没有力气哭泣

无助的人... 

恍惚中

突然一声响

女儿砸碎了玻璃窗

跳了出去

她翻过围墙

在马路上狂奔

医院的警卫被推倒在一边

她冲进了那间病房

妈妈半闭的眼睛

露出妈妈的笑容

像是又看到

那个刚出生的婴儿... 

门口已经赶来两位制服

和一个插着腰的大婶

都在等着

那一声惨痛的哀嚎

... 

女儿仍在窗沿上哭泣

一个残酷的梦... 

Desperation

This big city

Is greeting another dawn. 

So beautiful is it to those poetic minds, 

Albeit appears routine to others,

But, there're always the less fortunate...

On a hospital bed, 

Lies a dying mother,

Who knows well 

That it's going to be her last day on earth...

Her only daughter, 

Who rushed back from abroad, 

Is in quarantine in another location, 

With however three days left...

People are begging, 

To let the daughter to see the mom for the last time. 

-- No

The answer is firm and clear. 

The girl is sobbing by the window, 

The dad is weeping on the phone, 

But the mom is too weak to even make a sound. 

So hopeless... 

Suddenly 

In a daze, 

A loud crack sound, 

The girl smashes the window 

And jumps out

She climbs over fences, 

Running and dashing, 

Security guards are shoved aside. 

As she rushs inside hospital room, 

A faint smile appears on the ailing woman, 

while eyes already half closed,

As if she saw her the first time at birth...

At the door,

Two uniformed men already appeared

Together with a woman, hands on her waist.

All waiting

For that final and painful shriek.

...

The daughter is still crying by the window,

Just a nightmare...
