《红楼梦》里的诗词是其精华中的精华（简称“红诗”）。本刊这次发一篇黛玉的海棠诗英译，她的一句“偷來梨蕊三分白”，的确众人难及。今后将陆续发表其它红诗的英译，谢谢关注。

林黛玉

半卷湘簾半掩門，碾冰為土玉為盆。

偷來梨蕊三分白，借得梅花一縷魂。

月窟仙人縫縞袂，秋閨怨女拭啼痕。

嬌羞默默同誰訴？倦倚西風夜已昏。

Jade plate has fine powdered ice held. 

Flower pistils in faint white are quietly stolen, 

Plum blossom are borrowed for virtuous souls. 

The Moon lady stitches dresses for her own, 

Lamenting autumn in tears is this angelic girl. 

Who would care to hear out a timid confession? 

While leaning with sunset against western gales.
