亲爱的大朋友、小朋友:
你们好！中英文绘本故事专栏，我们特邀华裔艺术家苏玉蓉老师主讲。苏老师不仅有着扎实的舞台表演和话筒前的丰富经验和实力，而且也有海外公立学校幼教经验，是一位资深的幼儿教师。一年来在我台朗诵了近百篇文学作品、儿童作品，皆受好评。尤其是《呆家长与熊孩子》公众平台开播以来，苏姐姐讲故事专栏受到广泛好评。苏老师是国内难得的表演艺术家，更是我台优秀的金牌主播！

丛林中，一个静谧优美的夜晚，三只小猫头鹰从树洞里醒来了，却发现妈妈外出觅食还没回来。
Once there were three baby owls:
有一次，有三个小猫头鹰宝宝：
Sarah and Percy and Bill.
他们的名字叫Sarah、Percy和Bill。
They lived in a hole in the trunk of a tree with their owl mother.
他们和他们的妈妈一起住在一棵很大的大树洞里面。
The hole had twigs and leaves and owl feathers in it.
这个大树的大树洞里那有一些小树藤子、树叶子和羽毛。
It was their house.
这就是他们的家。
One night they woke up and their Owl Mother was GONE.
有一天夜里，这三个小宝宝醒过来的时候，不见了妈妈。
"Where's Mommy?" asked Sarah.
Sarah就说：“妈妈去哪了？
"Oh my goodness!" said Percy.
Percy说：“哎哟，我的天啊！”
"I want my mummy!" said Bill.
小Bill就说：“我要我妈妈！”
The baby owls thought (all owls think a lot )-
这些猫头鹰宝宝他们想了好多好多（所有的猫头鹰都喜欢想象）——
"I think she's gone hunting," said Sarah.
Sarah说：“我想她肯定是去打猎了。”
"To get us our food!" said Percy.
Percy说：“我想她是去给我们找食物了！”
"I want my mummy!" said Bill.
小的Bill就说：“我想要妈妈！”
But their Owl Mother didn’t come.
但是猫头鹰妈妈没有回来。
The baby owls came out of their house and they sat on the tree and waited.
这三个小猫头鹰宝宝他们从他们的房子里面走出来了，坐在一个大的树枝上等妈妈。
A big branch for Sarah,a small branch for Percy,and an old piece of ivy for Bill.
Sarah坐在一个大的树枝上，Percy坐在一个小的的树枝上，Bill坐在一个老的树藤上面。
"She'll be back," saidSarah.
Sarah就说：“她会回来的。”
"Back soon!" said Percy.
Percy说：“对，她很快就会回来！”
"I want my mummy!" said Bill.
最小的那个Bil说：“我要我妈妈！”。
It was dark in the wood and they have to be brave,for things moved all around them.
在森林里漆黑的夜晚，他们三个必须要非常勇敢来面对他们周围所发生的一切。
"She’ll bring us mice and things that are nice." said Sarah.
Sarah说：“她会给我们带回老鼠那真是太棒了！”。
"I suppose so!" said Percy.
Percy就说：“我也是这么想的！”。
"I want my mummy!" said Bill.
小Bill说“我要我妈妈！”。
They sat and they thought(all owls think a lot)-
他们坐在那儿想（所有的猫头鹰都喜欢想象）—
"I think we should all sit on my branch." said Sarah.
Sarah说：“我觉得我们三个应该坐到一起大家都到我的树枝上来坐吧。”。
And they did, all three together.
于是，他们三个都坐到一起了。
"Suppose she got lost." said Sarah.
Sarah说：“也许妈妈走丢了，她迷路了。”。
"Or a fox got her!" said Percy.
Percy说：“也许狐狸抓把她叼走了！”。
"I want my mummy!" said Bill.
最小的那个Bill说：“我要我妈妈！”。
And the baby owls closed their owl eyes and wished their Owl Mother would come.
三个猫头鹰宝宝闭上了眼睛好像是做祈祷，希望他们的妈妈快点回来。
AND SHE CAME.
哎呀她真的回来了。
Soft and silent, she swooped through the trees to Sarah and Percy and Bill.
她不声不响俯冲穿过树林，来到孩子们的身边。
"Mummy!" they cried.他们三个见到妈妈的时候一口同声“妈妈！”。
and they flapped and they danced,and they bounced up and down on their branch.
他们高兴坏了扑打着翅膀在树枝上跳呀跳呀，好像是在跳舞蹈。
"WHAT’S ALL THE FUSS?" their Owl Mother asked.
妈妈看到他们这个情况就觉得很奇怪，就说：“哎，这是怎么回事呀？”。
"You knew I’d come back."
“你们知道的我会回来的。”
The baby owls thought(all owls think a lot)-
猫头鹰宝宝们想了很多很多他们想了想（所有的猫头鹰都喜欢想象）—
"I knew it." said Sarah.
Sarah说“我早就知道妈妈会回来！”。
"And I knew it!" said Percy.
Percy说“我也早知道妈妈会回来！”。
"I love my mummy!" said Bill.
最小的那个Bill说：“我爱我妈妈！”。

苏玉蓉: 毕业于云南省艺术学院戏剧系。20年话剧舞台演出经验，以及话筒前的工作经验。擅长用声音语言塑造人物形象。曾在云南省广播电台播出数十部集广播剧和各种文学作品。部分在全国获奖。代表作有广播剧（李清照）中的李清照。广播剧（桑树坪）中的媒婆。电视剧（五朵金花和她的儿女们）中一人为多个角色配音。
