The moon is so bright that jolts birds to fly,

Cool breeze at night sounds like cicadas' chills. 

In th' scent of rice fields hears chats of harvest,

With frogs croaking around from ponds and rills.

A dozen of stars in the sky afar,

A couple of raindrops in the front of hills,

Beside the woods for rituals the old inn

Appears right 'cross a bridge at th' turn of trails.

译者、朗读者简介：

鲁四彬，汉英典籍翻译。曾先后本科研究生毕业留校任教于湖南师范大学外语系和武汉大学英文系。1993年留学美国毕业后先在美国辛辛那提辛康软件公司后在田纳西州某学院工作。在美国曾参加汉语教学活动，为教学服务，对古典诗词的英译有较多关注。
