爸爸生前固执

不喜欢父亲节什么的

说那是些洋玩意儿

但是赞成过母亲节

-- 妈妈一年到头做饭

这天应该歇歇

如今我也到了固执的年纪

忽然觉得

这大大小小什么节的

就是弥补心中的过不去

有时也羡慕基督徒

一周六天可以有种种的不是

只要周末去一次礼拜

就可以统统抹去

忏悔不为别的

只为心中一点安宁

这个父亲节

就跟儿子喝了个啤酒

说来还是爷俩第一次

你小时候需要个爸爸

现在爸爸做你一个朋友吧？

On Father's Day

Father was a stubborn man, 

Who never cared much about the Father's Day, 

And thought it's just some foreign things. 

But he's all for Mother's Day, 

-- Your mom has cooked all year, 

And today should be her break. 

Now I also reached that stubborn age, 

And suddenly felt that 

All these holidays, big or small, 

Are just excuses to fill up the void of some guilty feelings. 

Sometimes I envy those Christians, 

They could just go to church on Sundays, 

To repent for all the previous wrongs, 

And then all is forgiven. 

In the end, 

repentance is a cheap way to pay for a peace of mind. 

On this Father's Day, 

I just had a beer with my son, 

which might be the first time actually. 

-- Happy Father's Day! 

Thanks for everything, Dad! 

My son lifts his beer mug. 

-- Dad is always wondering, 

You might've needed a dad at younger age, 

Now you just need a friend from me, isn't it? 

-- No, I will always need a dad...
