Eve

She is the mother of all mothers,
And the innocent of all innocents.
She was made out of a man's bone,
And since cherished a tranquil life alone.
She saw herself in pristine water and loved it,
Then saw a man standing by and loved him.
She was pure and unblemished knowing no pleasure,
Uncle Satan came along saying it was easy rather.
The girl tried a curious first bite,
And the boy shared it under the moonlight.
Does it all have to be the woman's error?
Oh God, any chance to let'em do it over?
Adam and Eve, I so pray, could be in Eden still,
And Paradise would remain there for us all.
