十四亿无饥饿的生命，
功归杂交水稻之父袁隆平。
突闻袁公赴蓬莱，
华人痛哀祭悼浓。
英灵永不朽，
史册留美名。
Deeply Saddened by the Loss of Mr. Yuan

People must have food to live for generations,
To be able to survive,
The monument is high like sun and moon,
Without hunger for 1.4 billion lives,
The credit goes to Yuan Longping, the father of hybrid rice.
After hearing that Mr. Yuan went to Penglai,
Mourn and mourn by all Chinese .
The heroic spirit is immortal,
The annals of history record shining names of heros.
