Ms. Ai Baihe is the secretariat and trilingual host at Overseas Phoenix Poetry Translation Society, as well as a resident writer for numerous poetry platforms. She loves poetry writing and reciting. Her works are published on various platforms and paper media. She is also a recipient of "Good Voice" award in Cangyang Jiacuo Poetry Recitation Competition.

缺爱的人生

Essential to the dish

Love is like salt of life

Without love, life 

Is like dish without salt

Boring   

Salt is also auspicious god

It can help us clean, disinfect

Exorcise evil spirits and harmful substances 

And maintain good health

Love

Is like the best condiment in life 

Pure love is like salt

Making life meaningful

And pushing people forward 

But vigorous

Long-lasting love 

Only exists in literature for romantics

Realistic love is like salt

Plain and unpretentious        

Passion and promiscuity 

Are like excessive salt in food

Difficult to eat and harmful to health         

Only moderate salt can blend the five flavors

True love is plain

But creates a long stream

Flowing to the end of time
