作者：张小平，字明夷，河南洛阳人，北宋大儒张载先生之二十八世玄孙，英语语言文学博士，英国剑桥大学、美国特拉华大学和诺维奇大学研究和访问学者，现为扬州大学外国语学院英语教授、博士生导师、美国文学研究所所长，中外文学比较研究团队负责人。系“新世纪人才工程”和“青蓝工程”中青年学术带头人、中国外国文学学会英国文学分会理事、江苏省外国文学研究会理事、国家社科基金评审专家、教育部学位授予单位抽检学位论文通讯评议专家等。主持国家社会科学基金项目1项，出版学术著作3部、高校英语专业教材3部，发表学术期刊论文50余篇。为“七剑诗人”之柔剑，出版个人诗集《子非花：柔剑的诗》，合著《七剑诗选》和《新性灵主义诗选》。
译者：于元元，博士，安徽大学外语学院副教授，剑桥大学英文系访问学者（2018-2019）。研究方向为英美文学。出版专著1部，合作专著2部，其中1部为国家级规划图书，参编国家级规划教材1部，在《外国文学》、《安徽大学学报》等期刊上发表（含合作）学术论文多篇,主持教育部、安徽省教育厅重点项目等多个项目。近期诗歌翻译作品发表于英国唯一的专业翻译诗歌期刊《现代诗歌翻译》（Modern
Poetry in Translation）、美国《诗殿堂》（Poetry Hall）、中国《世界诗人》、《翻译中国》（Translating
China）等期刊。

——因儒学学会年终表彰，得以在河南博物院一睹“大象中原”古代瑰宝展览。一直仰慕的贾湖骨笛，终于亲见。虽隔层层玻璃，却心有灵犀。是为记。
我回来了。而你却不在
穿越千年的黑暗
只为曾经的眷恋
尘世，依然草长莺飞
却不见少年身着蓝衫
风，呜咽着，吹过贾湖
只有涟漪，也只是涟漪
从湖心到湖心
从湖畔到湖畔
还记得那痛
剥骨成笛，化羽成仙
我循着你的呼唤
而你却一飞冲天
鹤鸣九皋
故事终究是故事
不见那少年
无人着蓝衫
只有蚀骨的痛
化成一枚千年的笛
如果音乐再起
轮回处
宫商角徵羽
晶莹的泪滴

Now I return, but you’re gone
Flying through the dark millennia tunnel
I’m seeking for the love memory
Exuberant still is the mortal world
But where’s the youth wearing a blue scholar gown?
The wind, weeping and sweeping over the Jia lake
leaves the water to ripple
from center to center, from bank to bank
I still remember the pain
of being skinned and trimmed
turned into a faerie flute
–I follow your call only to find
you fly to the sky
then honk from a remote moor
–Legend is legend, after all
No youth, no one in blue gown
Only the penetrating pain
was crystalized into a flute
When the music rises again
the millennia-old flute will bring you back
to the moment of its reincarnation
to the notes in ancient pentatonic scale
– a crystal tear
Note:
The
crane-bone flute exhibited in Henan Provincial Museum is the oldest
musical instrument in China, about 7, 800-9, 000 years old. About 40 odd
such flutes were excavated from the Jia Lake Prehistoric Ruins. This
poem, as per the poet, was inspired by the flute after her observing it
through the glass showcase in 2019. The poet set the story about the
flute in a later dynasty (probably over a thousand years ago) when young
scholars often worn blue gowns.
