That Month in That Year
By Wangchuan (Gan Su)
That year, you sang to come here,
Carrying the fleeting hope;
That month, you talked about the hard times,
As well as the bumpy world.
The tip of the pen flows with your wandering mind.
With a few drops of clear ink,
Singing a song of quiet year.
You travelled in the remotest end of the world,
And couldn't comb your wandering loneliness.
Tossing and turning in bed without sleep,
You wrote me a poem as a clear whisper.
I stood on the other side of the world,
in bloom of elegant fragrance.
In my deep solitude I listened to your unmatched poetry.
In the most beautiful prime,
I would keep you company till your black hair became frost.
The millennium's love, the millennium 's soul had been reduced to nothing.
