Profile of Sun Jianjun

Sun Jianjun, with army background,is a member of China Writers Association. He is a first class literature writer, he won the Sprout Literature Award, Sichuan Literature Award, Bashu Literature Award, China TV Gold Eagle Prize,etc. He used to be Director and Deputy Editor in the editorial section of the “ Stars Poetry Magazine ", Vice Secretary General and Literature Creation Research Director at SiChuan Writers Association, and Editor-in-Chief at “SiChuan Writers Magazine “etc.

But I do not remember whether we became friends at first sight 

Or we had a reunion after a long time

It was not on that day

It was not the Scriptures

Which you recited with closed eyes

And it was not the spiritual light to save souls

Which slipped through my face

And dropped on the tips of my hairs

It is not the flickering heartfelt words or love proverbs

Which sound like melodies

The earth, the moon revolt, and seasons cycle

I still feel at loss in the end of the year

But it is you who hymned the love song softly alone

And it is me who heard your song and turned to you suddenly

I suddenly understand that the past winds and rains we experienced

Are like the light of pure hearts we held

So I comprehend fully what you told me, which is engraved in your heart This is what warmth is

David Haotian Dai graduated from Shanghai Normal University with a BA degree in English language and literature. Following graduation, he worked as an English Translator for years. He used to be department head at the translation department of China Europe International  Business School. In his spare time, he created poems in English and in Chinese upon inspiration He is gifted with philosophical thoughts and poems. His philosophical poems—“Love Talks Louder than Money”
