Taking Away My Hometown
(1、接走故乡)
Hometown, lands without any crops seen，were desolate
The Spring breeze, no longer blew green rice fields or wheat fields
The sparrows tweeted hungrily in the wind
The black crows had occupied magpies’territories
were crying sadly and aloud in the Huangjue trees
The swallows,had been far away
Eaves in which were few inhabitants, couldn't keep
their tender green languages
（故乡，看不见庄稼的土地，满目荒凉
春风，不再吹绿稻田和麦地
麻雀在风中饥鸣
乌鸦占据了喜鹊的领地
在黄桷树上高声悲啼
燕子，已远离
无人烟的屋檐，留不住她们
嫩绿的语言）
In the alley, was to-and-fro laughter
wafting from childhood
which was made by the folks, coming back to meet me after a long
absence
They had moved into the city in succession
In this era, people discarded their hometown
just like throwing a bunch of waste paper
(巷子里，飘荡着童年时来来往往的笑声
那是乡亲们赶回来与我久别重逢
他们已经纷纷搬迁进城
这个年代，人们抛弃故乡
犹如抛弃一团废纸)
The deserted yard was curling up below a ray of cooking smoke
Mother was making the last meal
After eating the meal, hometown which made me miss in dreams
was no longer a distant hometown
taking away my parents, was just like taking away my hometown
（冷清的院子蜷缩在一缕炊烟下
母亲在做最后一餐
吃过这顿，让我魂牵梦萦的故乡
不再是遥远的故乡
接走了父母，就是接走了故乡）
At the time of parting,the ancestral house was sad with tears
The Just-locked door, was sobbing with hands covering up its face
The pain that the residence land use was dismembered into broken
tiles and residual walls
was cutting into my heart,even at every full moon night in the city
Under the Huangjue tree at the village entrance
The sad sound of my father's So-na,woke up the dusk
Soulful fallen leaves,came down for seeing off
Lonely voices of frogs,came forward for saying goodbye
Flowing moonlight, led the way for me
（临别时，祖屋在悲怆
刚锁上的大门，掩面抽泣
宅基地被分尸为断瓦残垣的痛
割在我的心上，也会割在城市里每个月圆之夜
村口的黄桷树下
父亲悲凉的唢呐声，吹醒了黄昏
深情的落叶，下来送行
寂寞的蛙声，前来道别
流动的月光，为我探路）
Mother was carrying happiness
Father was carrying grain
I was carrying their heavy backs
Not until many years later, did the relatives who had entered
the city know,a relative
at this moment,would be away from hometown forever
(母亲背着幸福
父亲背着粮食
我挑着他们沉重的身影
多年后，进了城的亲人才知道，一个亲人
此刻，正踏上了永别故乡之路)
2、Sending My Hometown Back
(2、送回故乡)
Parents, send you back to hometown today
The boxes contained your wishes that falling leaves should return
to their roots
also contained my hometown
(父母亲，今天将你们送回故乡
盒子里装着你们叶落归根的愿望
也装着我的故乡)
Hometown, was no longer desolate
Mother, in the wheat fields of which you took good care
Large tracts of fruit forests were green with the hope of the epoch
Father, in the rice fields of which you plowed with a plow
the crystal-like fish ponds were shining with the glistening light
of waves of the epoch
Parents, hometown was refreshed
Don’t regret, don’t worry
The theme of the changing times would make it more beautiful
(故乡，不再荒凉
母亲，你精心呵护的麦地里
大片大片的果林翠绿着时代的希望
父亲，你犁铧耕耘的稻田里
清澈见底的鱼塘闪烁着时代的波光
父母亲，故乡被刷新
你们不要遗憾，不要担心
时代变迁的主题，会把故乡装点得更加美丽)
In the morning, magpies chirped joyfully in the Huangjue trees
welcoming two long-lost relatives
The voices of cicadas had climbed up the treetops
playing the best songs of early summer for two old friends
The yard was no longer lonely, with the blue smoke curling up
Returning swallows were dancing in the air
All, in the sound of the sun
were playing a beautiful and moving melody together
to see you off
(清晨，喜鹊就在黄桷树上喳喳喳地欢叫
她们在迎接两个久违的亲人
蝉鸣已爬上树梢
把最拿手的初夏之曲演奏给两个老朋友听
院子不再孤寂，炊烟袅袅
回归的燕子在空中舞蹈
这一切，在阳光的声音里
合奏出一支凄美动人的哀乐
为你们送行)
Parents, your new home
with pond in front, fruit forest behind
Blueprint for Beautiful Countryside Construction
had been sketched to the front
by a ribbon-like country road
You were enjoying the sunshine and rain, birds and flowers
However, there would be still storms in our hometown
Father, the so-na which was still in your hand throughout the seasons
would always accompany you,you had to blow up an umbrella, for
both hometown,and mother
to keep out wind and rain
(父母亲啊，你们的新家
前面是鱼塘，后面是果林
一条彩带似的乡村公路
已将美丽乡村建设的蓝图
勾画到跟前
你们享受着阳光雨露，享受着鸟语花香
但是，故乡还会有暴风雨的
父亲，那把四季不离手的唢呐
陪伴着你，你要吹起一把伞，为故乡
为母亲，遮风挡雨)
